Chet Nozick: 2 stories - I knew a lady that had cancer. She had been through all 6 round of chemo therapy and it kept coming back. The doctors gave her 6 months to live. A friend of hers gave her some shark cartilage in it's purest form and she started taking it. After the 6 months was up, she was still alive and the cancer had gone into remission.I recently heard of a guy in Ohio that has a product that a lot of people here have used and it has benefited them and made their tumors shrink and the cancer go into remission. Elden Bardach: I don't have any proven theories personally, but I've heard so much about it I believe it's possible. Look up holistic medicine and see what you find. I've heard of eating a certain diet to help! with cancer and you could look that up, too. I'd google every! thing and go from there.

Hyman Coren: Although people with cancer are looking for the best way to cure their illness (I know not only as a physician but someone who's gone through this), conventional allopathic medicine has yet to have a significant mode of therapy that is peer reviewed an superior to it. Believe me when I tell you, cancer patients deserve to be seen by a medical physician before even entertaining the notion of alternative therapy. If there's nothing that conventional medicine can provide, then use your judgement as to what you feel is appropriate, but as a physician, I'd never begin with an alternative when there are sound medical/surgical interventions for treatment of any number of malignancies.I'd also caution you against using movies to persuade you in making serious medical decisions.
