Mario Stricklan: an invite is not a summons
Oren Eskelsen: LOL! Wait until you're my age (53)! It gets worse! Why go? Because you're expected to go. Of course it's not a summons, but it is a social neccesity. Why give so much? $100 is NOT a lot.
Vern Serratos: So then decline the weddings, if you don't want to go. Or give less money as a gift. Nobody's forcing you to attend.
Phil Kuarez: There is no law saying you have to cover your food. I just got married on July 19 and out of 100 or so people, i got five gifts and six cards. Two of those cards contained $20 each.
Dick Ovdenk: Why are you going to weddings of people you barely know? You should be politely declining.
Sammy Tabatt: So give less. Or don't go, if you feel you can't be gracious. When you get married, your friends will give gifts to you, so it all works out in the long run, it's not like you're getting cheated.
Cody Petrulis: Don't go! Seriously, the bride and groo! m don't want you there if you don't want to be there, they are spending way more on their guests than their guests are giving them in terms of gifts, you are saving them money and your attitude by simply declining the invitation with regrets and sending a nice card.
Jude Colbenson: Food* Not good.
Andre Winegar: Why are you giving so much? You give what could afford, how well you know a person.Even if most people give gifts, wedding are not a gift giving event, you do not have to.You do not have to give cash, you can buy something for 100 dollars on sale for less then 50 dollars.Just because you invited, you could always say no...Show more
