Troy Staton: The Chevrolet Cavalier will last her, my aunt has a 2005 with about 130k miles on it and it runs perfectly. If you're concerned about safety, the Cavalier IS NOT the way to go. It has an extremely bad crash test rating, receiving 1 star out of 5. Personally, if she wants a car that is small and good on gas, she should go for the Saturn Ion. They're dent resistant, have a good crash test rating (I flipped one into a ditch and walked out with only a bruise), and look good. Plus the insurance is pretty cheap on them!...Show more
