If you had to choose between a well-run, effective education system and a well-run health system...?

Cletus Crotts: I don't think these have to be mutually exclusive. Like another respondent said, why is it so important for the U.S. to be the world expert in death? The money we spend on our military really sickens me. If I had a choice, my taxes would not be going to fund it.

Tosha Tawney: Gitmo is very bad how would you like to be there and get tortued when you may not even done a crime

Rosella Figliola: Healthcare, but for purely selfish reasons I admit. I have a pre-existing condition and can't get insurance.

Adelle Weight: One thing for sure, she'll wait a long time before anybody kisses her A++.

Moira Woodrow: She is a perfect candidate for being committed. The proposition that the Earth is “out of balance” due to TP usage is the thesis of a nutter.

Barton Slisz: Seriously how many politicians actively seek out crowds where they KNOW they are going be greeted with anger and hostility?? Plus you do realize that the Secret Service's ! job is to protect the President?? They are scanning for anyone they perceive as a threat to the safety of the Commander In Chief. I don't agree with everything Bush does but I wouldn't call him a coward. He sticks to his guns no matter how hostile it gets.

Cortez Badolato: W is the president officially, but not intellectually. That honor would belong to Karl Rove.Bush is merely the vehicle used by Rove to push his agenda. Most of what Bush says is what he is briefed on beforehand. The purpose of Rove using Bush as his puppet is promote the "Roveization" of America, which includes.-Gutting the Middle Class, who blindly trust conservatives,to enrich the Upper Class.-Acheiving this with content-free homophobia and liberal bashing-A hawkish nationalism that deters criticism of this process. So yes, this is as big and as gross a disaster as it sounds.WhatBush and the Republicans are "cowards" on is they use political office ONLY under the guise of "serving" America!Neo cons do! nt want to see links like this:http://www.crooksandliars.com/2! 006/09/06...http://www.cnn.com/us/9607/30/clinton.te......Show more

Oscar Wieland: He has no real answers to the questions they ask. He can only deal with head bobbing idiots. If you look at him from the standpoint of entertainment he is like the jerry springer show except without the chair throwing. He is just a spoiled rich kid who has never had to think is way out of anything poseing as a good old country boy.

Matt Gerdeman: Because he spends a lot of time herding cows on his ranch?

Alecia Kaehler: I don't have to choose. Both of mine are well-run. For education, my kids go to Private Schools. The teachers are wonderful and the parents really care about their kids. For health care, I've got a great health plan, great doctors, great pharmacy services. I'm assuming you're talking about public systems. They're whacked. I certainly don't want a giant government bureaucracy running the show. But to answer your question, I'd go with education since an! educated populace is more likely to make good decisions about everything else....Show more

Lorine Helwick: One square is better than no square.

Scot Sepulbeda: Education, in hopes that our kids will grow some brains and do something about the healthcare problem when they get old enough to start taking responsibility.

Samara Siewers: education...effective education eventually improves all areas

Barton Morfee: This man is a shining example of why the inheritance tax should not be revoked. Dubya never wanted for anything and never earned anything in his life. I don't hold the no show national guard duty or mind altering substance consumption against him. He is still punishing the guard in Iraq and Afghanistan. Every business he's ran has gone sour. He surrounds himself with yes men who filter his exposure to fit his mood. Every moment is a potential photo op, so no undesirables are allowed close.A fortune made is better managed by it's creator than it ! is by one who receives it as an heir. The elitism of the wealthy promot! es a socially acceptable mindset to look down of those who serve you. Second and latter generations of the wealthy seldom excel at more than spending on themselves and getting ripped off. They do not care, nor listen to the help. They are important, you are not, and as the middle class shrinks, there is an increasing percentage of people who do not matter. If half the people who don't vote chose to, this country would be much better off for the people....Show more

Heidy Fujikake: How about we fund them both to the gills and skip building an aircraft carrier we don't need, or mebbe about 10 or 20 tanks, or 10 to 15 super jets? Why does the military need more of these super weapons if the weapons we have are super allready? We need more soldiers, not more guns. You get those with better education and healthcare.

Ismael Sixon: a well run education system. If your kids are educated, eventually theyre going to figure out the health problem. if theyre dumb and healthy, t! hey wont fix the education system later on

Hilton Paiva: This is another example of disconnect from the voting populous. It is no wonder the dude lives in an ivory tower if he never gets to feel the heat from the population.

Gladys Worthing: survivor? Do you actually think she would make it without her 1 square of toilet paper?By the way, do you remember that episode of Seinfeld where Elaine begged the woman in the next stall for just 1 square of toilet paper. I remember thinking, "what the heck is she going to do with one square?"

Shawnna Kusky: I have to agree with Dr Feelgood. Bush has to have protection at this stage of the game. I mean if he went out anywhere it would be a big target. I think its funny how you have a select few at the Republican conventions and he never answers questions after he speaks because he wouldn't know what to say . He is stupid and most people are finding this out. I have clients tell me they voted for him but now they are! ashamed they did. We were not on John Kerry's stop when he was running! but he heard that we were wanting him to stop at a town close to us so he changed direction and stopped . I met him and had my picture taken and I have a pic of him above my computer along with Jimmie Carter ( from my Parents) and hopefully I'll get that Clinton signature on my book soon ! :) Good question...Show more

Soraya Coodey: Education first because then we are in a better position to tackle the health care issue and others........intelligently.

Theresia Fashaw: I would choose both but first I would like to know what well- run means.

Kelly Bistodeau: I do remember that Seinfeld and you are right I was thinking it too. I would like to see Al-manbearpig-Gore and Sheryl Crow on survivor. That would force them to put up or shut up, once and for all.

Manual Burtis: It is part of the Male tradition.Little boys "pants" ie (pull down some ones pants) each other. This is a rutting ritual that separates the boys with small di*k*. The boys with LDS (li! ttle d*c* syndrome) resist the most when threatened with "pantsing" this constant resistance and cowering evolves into adult Cowardliness.Go big Red Go...Show more

Providencia Serpe: Neither. The problem of government schools is not the running of them, it's the material left out of the education. The problem with healthcare is a result of the government education that indoctrinates against pulling your own weight!

Willa Holte: when my son graduated, from Ohio state in 2002 Mr. bush was the speaker if we boo him we would be arrested

Virgilio Echter: When George W. Bush travels out to see "The People," he makes sure that no people who oppose him are nearby. Bush's Secret Service agents search the crowd for dissenting signs and corral those individuals to "free speech zones" which are typically out of sight of the President, rendering the dissent purposeless. Members of the crowd who support the President get to stay. Maybe they are afraid that Bush will sta! rt cursing at the crowd while the cameras are rolling? I hope he come ! to Cali. Then they will have a good time trying to keep Liberal from out of his sight....Show more

Ilana Gaster: Apparently Gitmo detainees were treated as outlined by the Geneva convention, so now what still shut it down? Is Bush gonna get an apology? Probably not, but hypocrisy is fun ain't it kids!!http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2...

Robt Heemstra: Al Gore bought his "carbon credits." Now we need to issue Sheryl Crow a ream of "toilet paper credits."

Russ Kiernan: Sense both are pretty much run by liberals, I don't have much faith in either but I'd go more for the education.

Virgilio Echter: Much like Hitler did, DUH-bya insulates himself with other right-wing phanatics and mental defectives to ensure his flawed message will be unchallanged all while making sure enlightened protestors are a great distance away. There is no free speech under the auspices of George DUH-bya Bush.http://www.watsoncrombie.com/bush/presidency9.jpg...Sh! ow more

Stevie Kizziar: you need to recommend our public training device. As a wide-unfold rule, families who can take care of to pay for it deliver their childrens to non-public colleges. the middle and decrease financial training tend to deliver theirs to public colleges. because of the fact the Democratic occasion has traditionally been greater representative of the middle and decrease financial training, public training has consistently been a considerable plank interior the occasion's platform....Show more

Rick Duchane: Education. the reason is simple: I fyou don't have a well educated populace--nothing else is going to be well run either in the long run. On the other hand, a good educational system sooner or later translates into improvements all across the board. However, I disagree about not being able to do both. We have enough--easily--to fix both with no difficulty. And without cutting anything--or raising taxes (at least for this--we will see highe! r taxes simply because those deficits have to be dealt with). So how do ! you magically get the money? Answer is simple: eliminate waste in both systems and focus on (measured) outcomes basded on empirical data. For example: currently at least half of the people in nursing homes could live independantly with the rihe right accomodations--and at about half the cost to Medicare. How much money is that? Per year--at least $50 billion! Why don't we do that (esepecially since this also improves the quality of llife for these seniors)? A: thanks to lobbying by the nurshing home/HMO industry, Medicare won't pay for that type of care in most cases, so people end up in nursing homes because they have to get soe assistance somewhere. There's a LONG list of ways we can cut medical and education waste--and the sums are staggering. That money is more than enough to make reforms--especially since, as in the example, eleiminating thewaste will help solve other problems....Show more

Jodie Capella: I think Sheryl Crow is full of sheet.

Lucien Helle! rman: WOW! Tough choice. We are paying way too much for both programs considering what we get in return. But having said that I'll choose the education system to get fixed. If we have better educated kids they will make more and then the Democrats can tax them to pay for the health care I'm gonna need when I retire.Having said that IF I could fix one thing it would be the government spending. What's the government budget going to be for 2008? Around 3 TRILLION dollars? Surely that is enough to take care of what we really need and show a surplus. Let's make our congressmen realise it's our money they are spending. Vote anti-incumbent in 08. Send them a message. Make some tough choices....Show more
