Pasty Cobbett: a combating type is as deadly as a committed practitioner might like it to be. yet having reported that, martial arts should not be approximately killing yet another guy or woman. a real grasp martial artist might work together an opponent without anger and neutralize him with the least of attempt and harm. that ought to respond to your question on 'deadliest'. maximum helpful combating type, in spite of the indisputable fact that, is an completely different difficulty. while the ufc (suitable combating championship) all started interior the early '90s, it grew to become right into a conflict of varieties and anyone who joined grew to become right into a purist attempting to coach the international that their combating type might succeed against all others. with the aid of the years, opposition discovered that there is not any longer a single type helpful by utilizing itself interior the cage. consequently, mixed martial arts more suitable. in many circumst! ances, a mixed martial artist ought to have a good stand-up technique (many human beings have faith that muay thai's capability and practicality is the suitable) and an the two good floor combating technique (which truly is brazilian jiu-jitsu) to win 0.5 of the experience. the different 0.5? more suitable aerobic and conditioning....Show more
Scot Sepulbeda: Yeah there are alot of tournaments, some you wear gloves some you don't, some you can graple some you dont graplethere is Boxing, Kickboxing, Muay Thai, MMA, Kyokushin, Vale tudo..............................................and so on and so on, ALLOT of artsSome TKD schools don't use padding, those that do are either pussyfied or are very sport orientated, still, padding a full contact is better than semi contact or none at all so TKD gets a + for at least doing that...Show more
Frank Gazaway: There is no best style.
Beau Starcevic: I think some places are better than others for full-contact martial a! rts. I live in Atlanta, GA and there are regular full-contact ! competitions. TKD tournaments use full gear because they have a more full-contact competitions. Just don't go to a McDojo like ATA or something. Find a privately owned "dojo".
Randolph Lozoya: Depends but if you're only going to do one now I would recommend BJJ. Pure Striker vs pure Grappler generally the grappler wins. Striking is a lot easier to add at a later stage than ground work that takes years to perfect. A friend of mine that had 1.5 years exp was able to dominate me on the ground but when standing we were quite closely matched. If you are going to be getting into street fights then muay thai is most likely better. But Muay thai also has a higher chance of getting brain damaged than BJJ.
Felipa Nosis: Depends on your body size and capabilities, everyone is build differently
Burt Stoecklin: you can't beat Muay Thai :)
Mitchel Demry: yes there is, but only about 2% of them hit full contact. Stuff like kyokyshin karate or zen do kai are too of ! the full contact ones. You can usually tell a full contact style-it looks like kickboxing.
Carolynn Testani: It doesnt seem like a common type of martial arts - is there likely to be some one that could teach me in my city?
Kris Bozelle: I do them both in the same gym. Two teachers - One school.
Alisia Sutphen: Always moving forward and attacking, never being in boring fights making it a brawl, always working and putting pressure on their opponent, always aiming to ko or submit their opponent. To see this style in action watch Nick Diaz and Nate Diaz. That means learn everything!...Show more
Caterina Yeargan: yeah you just gotta google it.
Maria Devenney: like i mean, ive heard of martial art tournaments that you strike but dont touch, but still get a point, but you have to hold back your kick/punch,is thre any tournaments that you punch all way?why tae kwon do uses gear in tournaments?
Misty Vagle: Krav Maga is street fighting to save y! our life, Using some of their moves may kill someone.Muay thai is the m! ost BRUTAL martial arts in the world Now, it wasnt always before.JiuJitsu is for ground control, Its useful but you cant depend on it.I would say there's no such thing as a best fighting style by itself, I would say Take Boxing lessons, Muay thai and Jiujitsu, those 3 combinations are unbeatable, Boxing will give you strong heavy punches but also making them fast which is splended, Muay thai being the most brutal martial arts to date is hard to learn but the kicks and creative combinations will leave your opponent on the floor knocked out cold, And jiujitsu will help you when you get thrown onto the floor, or when someone tries to severaly damage you, Breaking arms in a fight could leave your opponent damaged for months, I suggest use these 3.To your original answer, The only thing i know that can beat those 3 are Kung fu, The shaolin monks seem to have overpowered all black belts from various types of fighting styles....Show more
Antwan Schrum: Grand celestial do.
Walter Scordino: I want to take both at the same time. I'm also thinking about taking two years of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and two years of Muay Thai Kickboxing. Tell me what you think.
Seema Hosfeld: Mixed martial arts or Tae-kwondo
Whitley Leopold: I'm going go with the fanboys and say mma is da best because u can mix all styles togather and be the ultimate fighter just like the people from the show called ultimate fighter.it's like jersey shore but they do ufcsome people take ufc others take up bellator and some old school people practice some pride and wec.LOL!...Show more
Azzie Trembly: People need to wake up and smell the coffee and realize that some styles just truly are better than others. If you teach ballet and market it as ballet do, it's still not going to teach people to fight. Not every fighting style is effective. That's life, saying that every martial art is great really isn't doing anything to help advance the world of martial arts. But ou! t of the four listed, there really aren't any crap styles. Muay Thai or! Jiu-Jitsu would be my first two choices, then Judo, and lastly Krav Maga simply because there are so many crap Krav Maga schools out there that it's a risk to try to find a good one....Show more

Ulrike Hert: Styles do not beat styles, people do. It amazes me that so many people think that a style is what is important. Styles are only concepts of the way things should be done. They are not objects. They are only as good as the person using them. The training and luck are always a factor in any fight. ......Show more
Kris Otuafi: Either one or neither one. That is the Truth.First of all you need an instructor who can teach you a real martial art for the purpose you need, whether for self-defense or what your need. A master or School who teaches for the sake of money, sport, competition, and gives you ranking as for e.g., black belt with a short ti! me, are McDojo. Stay away from them. You will learn nothing. The Main keys of Martial Arts-1. There is no best style in Martial Art. And even no style is more powerful or better than another the individual makes it better or worse. 2. Martial Art does not depend on body type, whether you are brawny, skinny, tall. 3. There is no age bar in martial Arts, each art has a starting age, and no ending age. 4. Each art has its advantage and disadvantage and different targeting point, like ground, stand up, or all or something different or Hybrid. So if we see a grappler beats a striker and vice versa and then we compare the striking art with grappling art then we are surely wrong. 5. Each art depends on the practitioner how good he practices. And the instructor how good he teaches the learner. Any art would work on street if you are taught to use it.6. Either Martial Art can be effective if taught correctly. Finding the better master and a legit school is the best approach towards a! Martial Art.7. Any art can turn you fit from unfit and have good condi! tioning, tough and extreme and be physically demanding if you do it the way it should be.8. The result of the fight does not depend on the size of the fighter. The result of Fight of different arts always varies, as itâs the practitioner.9. Any art can give another art tough competition if you are taught how to do it. Your mastery and training matters not the art.10. âThe strength of the arts depends on the skill of the fighters using themâI would suggest you to visit the martial art school and observe the classes. See how they are doing, how is the master doing. Ask your questions and clear your doubts if you have. And see which school or Art has met your needs and join that one... .... .... ..Good Luck!...Show more
Karl Samiec: like somebody else stated, you can't beat good ol' Muay Thai lol, the last thing I'd wanna do is mess with somebody who knows Muay Thai or Krav Maga
Nancy Mansell: Things here is up to you, if you think you can handle your schedul! e and activities, then doing both of those will make you gain what you want on same time, just make sure that you can deal many things accordingly, including pressures and tiredness, since your body must adjusts with those physical and mental training, just make sure that you can cope up with your other activities, since your time will get affected by those continues practice.Besides, Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu jitsu is offering different kind of curriculum, it will not going to affect your lessons and training, only your thoughts well get loaded thinking whatâs being discuss and given during your active practice.. . . . . . . ....Show more
Malissa Porth: Try the national tournaments on the NASKA and NBL national circuit, Mens Black-belt divisions and see how much they hold back. I can tell you from personal experience that the game of tag is a little misleading and I have seen fighters knocked out, had broken jaws, noses, and ribs. I have done that as well as fo! ught full contact and actually have been hit just as hard in the tourna! ments, as well as had broken ribs and had my bell rung (which I never got in full contact). The use of light weight gear makes for the contact to be harder in some ways than what most people realize....Show more
Peggy Sandefer: It would be etremely difficult unless you found a school that taught them both in a mixed system but then you wouldn't get as good an education in either. If I were you I would pick one that I wanted to study first and concentrate on it. Then in the future if you wanted to learn the other you could move on to it.
